SnapMug is owned and operated by Work Smart LLC (“Work Smart,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal data in a transparent, responsible, and lawful manner.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you access or use SnapMugโs website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope and Role
Work Smart LLC acts as the data controller for personal data processed through SnapMug. Certain third-party service providers act as data processors on our behalf, as described below.
SnapMug may integrate with or allow optional connections to third-party platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. SnapMug does not control these platforms and is not responsible for their independent privacy practices.

A. Information You Provide Directly
We may collect information you voluntarily provide, including:
- Account details (such as username, email address, profile image)
- Content you create or upload (photos, captions, comments)
- Communications with us (support requests, feedback)
- Preferences and settings
Public content you choose to share may remain visible until you delete it or your account.
B. Information From Third-Party Platforms
If you choose to connect SnapMug with a third-party platform (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok), we may receive limited information from that platform in accordance with your permissions and the platformโs policies. This may include:
- Platform user ID or username
- Profile name or image
- Content identifiers or engagement signals necessary to support the requested functionality
SnapMug accesses third-party platform data only with your explicit consent, only for the purposes you initiate, and only as permitted by applicable platform APIs.
SnapMug does not access private messages or unrelated account data.
C. Device, Log, and Usage Information
We automatically collect certain technical and usage information, which may include:
- IP address and approximate location (city or country level)
- Device identifiers, operating system, app version, and browser type
- Log data, crash reports, and performance metrics
- Interaction data (such as views, likes, or navigation patterns within the app)
This information is used to operate, secure, and improve the Services.
D. Location Information
We may collect approximate location information based on IP address. Precise GPS location is collected only if you explicitly enable it in your device settings. You may disable location access at any time.
E. Analytics Information
We use analytics and monitoring tools (such as Google Firebase) to understand usage trends, diagnose issues, and improve user experience. These tools may collect device and usage information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

4. Third-Party Platforms (Important Disclosure)
SnapMug allows users to optionally connect their accounts to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to enable features such as content sharing, publishing, task participation, or verification.
Important limitations:
- Connecting third-party platforms is voluntary and user-initiated
- All content creation, posting, and engagement actions occur on the third-party platform itself
- SnapMug does not control third-party platforms, their APIs, moderation decisions, availability, or data accuracy
- Data visibility and verification depend on third-party platform limitations and may change at any time
SnapMug does not guarantee that actions performed on third-party platforms can always be detected, verified, or accepted as valid completion.
5. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers (including Firebase and Supabase) that support hosting, analytics, and application functionality
- Third-party platforms when you explicitly initiate a connection or sharing action
- Legal or regulatory authorities if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity
We do not sell personal data.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
SnapMug uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Enable essential functionality
- Analyze usage and performance
- Remember preferences
You may manage cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling cookies may limit certain features. SnapMug does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Data retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the data, user actions, and platform requirements.
We may retain information in aggregated or anonymized form where permitted.
7A. No Guarantees and Limitation of Responsibility
SnapMug provides tools for content sharing, discovery, coordination, and optional verification only. We do not guarantee:
- successful task completion or verification
- reward availability, eligibility, or redemption
- uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Services
- continued availability of third-party platform integrations
SnapMug is not responsible for:
- user actions performed outside the app
- third-party platform behavior, moderation, outages, or policy changes
- failed verification due to platform limitations or removed/modified content
Participation in any challenges or features is at the userโs own risk and does not create a contractual right to rewards or outcomes.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to:
- Provide the Services
- Fulfill legal and regulatory obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
Data may be retained in aggregated or anonymized form where appropriate.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

SnapMug is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by law in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will delete it.
